WATCH: Ride onboard with Verstappen as he beats Piastri to pole for the Sprint at Spa
It was another table-topping performance from Max Verstappen during the Sprint Shootout at the Belgian Grand Prix as he again made the most of the changeable weather conditions.
In a second successive session that started in the wet and gradually dried up, Verstappen worked his way down to a time of 1m 49.056s in the decisive SQ3 phase, pipping McLaren’s Oscar Piastri by 0.011s.

It means Verstappen will start Saturday afternoon’s Sprint from the front of the grid, before dropping back from P1 to P6 for Sunday’s main Grand Prix due to a gearbox change and penalty.
