Fashion Week season is underway and the world’s fashion capitals are unveiling their spring-summer 2026 collections. With new creative directors debuting at many heritage houses, anticipation is building around which trends will set the tone for next season. Yet as the runways look ahead, Formula 1 is already leaving its mark on FW25, with its influence shaping the styles we will wear this autumn-winter.

In the last 10 years, F1 has evolved from a niche sport into a global cultural phenomenon – thanks to the 'Netflix effect', celebrity presence at races, and the rapid growth of social media storytelling around Grand Prix weekends. Fashion brands are eager to capitalise on this momentum, shifting from traditional tech sponsorships to luxury branding, as seen with Louis Vuitton becoming an Official Partner of F1 and TAG Heuer becoming the Official Timekeeper.

Total leather looks, double denim and slimmer sneakers are set to influence what we wear this autumn–winter. Here are the trends and brands that are going from the track directly to influence your wardrobe choices.

F1's influence on fashion trends

This fall, designers from luxury brands to streetwear companies maintain most of the styles where F1 and its momentum have shaped the already well-established 'motorcore' trend. The release of F1 The Movie has ultimately fuelled movement. Although it could be perceived as a micro trend with a short lifespan, the truth is that many shapes, textures, and colours have retained their motorsport and F1 influence.

Alongside leather, denim will also have its moment, especially in total looks, denim-on-denim, and jumpsuits that echo the utilitarian, garage-workwear aesthetic. When it comes to colour, racing-red accents and deep burgundy remain key – shades that immediately evoke motorsport imagery.

Sneakers are drawing inspiration from drivers’ racing boots, with the Puma Speedcat emerging as one of the models of the season. This style is complemented by a preference for incorporating vintage elements and racing motifs directly from motorsport culture, such as contrast stitching, sponsor-style graphics and logos, as seen in the APXGP Collection by Tommy Hilfiger.

Inside Ferrari Officina’s FW25 collection

Whether it's a single piece or a head-to-toe look, leather is a staple of the season, especially in luxury fashion collections like Ferrari Style. The silhouettes tend towards oversized, featuring motor-inspired coats and one of the key items of this autumn – the bomber jacket. Boxy leather trousers mirror the proportions of racing gear, while accessories nod to the circuits, with gloves and tall boots completing the look.

Under the creative direction of Rocco Iannone, the brand has drawn on its aesthetic heritage to create a burgeoning fashion line that feels like a natural extension of the supercar marque and the Scuderia. For FW25, he unveiled the Officina Collection, inspired directly by the Italian word officina (meaning workshop), merging classic Italian luxury with racing codes.

As Vogue described, it “manifests Ferrari’s cars in worn form,” through a colour palette that also pays homage to racing tradition, including classic Ferrari Red shade like rosso corsa, in accessories like ties. The collection features imagery shot at Ferrari’s Fabric in Maranello, blending sartorial looks with a futuristic workshop aesthetic.

Puma Speedcats make a comeback

With a long history tied to the sport as an equipment sponsor for teams and drivers, Puma is reviving one of the most iconic F1 pieces – the racing boot.

First launched in 1999, the Speedcat was born for the track with the purpose of offering superior pedal feel for drivers. However, the suede shoe soon made its way onto the streets, becoming a key piece among motorsport enthusiasts and fashion followers alike.

Fast forward to today and Puma has reissued the Speedcat OG, with celebrities like Dua Lipa and Rosé creating their own interpretations of the model, including the Speedcat Ballerina – a sleeker, more feminine take that nods to balletcore.

The Hilfiger Racing Club

Tommy Hilfiger has been part of F1 since the 1990s, strengthening its presence in recent years – first with Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton, sponsoring F1 ACADEMY, and most recently through its role in F1 The Movie and its announcement as the official apparel partner for the newest team on the grid, Cadillac.

Autumn 2025 marks the brand’s most direct stylistic tribute to motorsport with The Hilfiger Racing Club – a capsule collection following the APXGP looks worn by Damson Idris in the film, blending Hilfiger’s signature preppy style with vintage racing nostalgia.

The lookbook and campaign, starring supermodel Claudia Schiffer and actor Nicholas Hoult, mix F1 imagery with the iconic American aesthetic. Key items of the season include tartan and barn jackets, opening the exclusive world of motorsport to everyday wardrobes.

FROM FUTURE x BWT Alpine F1 Team

The French contemporary label FROM FUTURE, renowned for its playful knitwear, has launched a special collection in collaboration with the Alpine squad. The result is 10 limited-edition pieces that embody the F1 crossover into wearable, lifestyle fashion.

From statement outerwear – a navy-blue bomber jacket modelled after a race suit with embroidered logos and sponsor-style patches – to sleek essentials such as cashmere crewnecks with Alpine branding and racing stripes, the line includes one standout set featuring a structured crop top and cycling shorts combo.

All of the designs, which nod to genderless athletic wear, serve as an example of how F1 has deeply permeated style in 2025. It is no longer just merchandising but a full influence on fashion trends.
