The odds for the win

Oscar Piastri added a fifth victory of the season to his tally in Barcelona, and the Australian is again the favourite to triumph at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, having continued to lead the championship since Round 5 in Saudi Arabia.

Lando Norris only sits 10 points behind his team mate and is also close by in the odds of winning this weekend, while Max Verstappen is deemed as having a slightly more distant chance behind the McLaren duo, despite having taken three wins in Montreal over the past three years.

The odds for a podium finish

McLaren have built a strong record of podium results in 2025, with both drivers having stood on the rostrum at eight out of the nine races held so far. Verstappen, meanwhile, is tied on the second highest number of top-three finishes with Mercedes’ George Russell, the pair holding four apiece.

All of these drivers have good odds for repeating this in Canada – as does Charles Leclerc. The Ferrari man scored back-to-back podiums at the last two rounds on the calendar in Monaco and Spain, helping the Scuderia to move up to P2 in the Teams’ Championship.

The odds for a top-six finish

Alongside those aforementioned names, Lewis Hamilton is amongst those tipped for a top-six finish at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. The seven-time World Champion achieved this at all three rounds of the recent triple header, with Imola seeing him take a season-best Grand Prix result of P4.

Another driver with decent odds in this category is Kimi Antonelli, who endured a tough run across the last three rounds which has left him without a top-six result since Miami. After a strong start to the season, the Mercedes rookie will be hoping to return to that form.

BARCELONA, SPAIN - MAY 31: Lewis Hamilton of Great Britain driving the (44) Scuderia Ferrari SF-25Can Hamilton continue his run of top-six finishes this weekend?

The odds for a top-10 finish

Yuki Tsunoda has ended the last two rounds on the calendar outside of the points, so a top-10 finish in Canada would come as a good boost for the Red Bull driver. Williams, meanwhile, will be looking to recover from a difficult outing in Spain to strengthen their P5 position in the Teams’ standings.

Also favoured for a points result is Isack Hadjar, the rookie arriving into Montreal after taking P9, P6 and P7 in Imola, Monaco and Spain respectively. Can the Racing Bulls driver continue that run this weekend?

BARCELONA, SPAIN - JUNE 01: Yuki Tsunoda of Japan and Oracle Red Bull Racing in the garage duringTsunoda will be hoping to return to the top 10 in Montreal

The odds for who will be fastest in Qualifying

Norris missed out on pole position to team mate Piastri last time out in Barcelona by 0.209s – the biggest pole margin of the season so far – but the Briton is marginally ahead of his fellow McLaren driver in the odds for going fastest in Qualifying at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Verstappen is rated as third most likely to take the accolade. The Red Bull man memorably set the exact same time as polesitter Russell during Qualifying for last year’s race in Montreal, but the fact that Russell had set his lap first gave him the P1 position.

BARCELONA, SPAIN - JUNE 01: Oscar Piastri of Australia driving the (81) McLaren MCL39 MercedesWill Piastri and Norris go head-to-head in the battle for pole position?

The odds for the winning team

McLaren continue to head the pack in the Teams’ battle, the Woking-based outfit having established a 197-point lead in the standings across the opening nine rounds of the championship.

The squad have not taken a victory in Canada since they did so with Hamilton back in 2012, while they also proved triumphant one year earlier when Jenson Button won an eventful race that holds the record of being the longest in F1 history at four hours, four minutes and 39 seconds.
