Originally built in 1962, it would not be until the 1987 season that the famous ‘crossover’ circuit would appear on the F1 calendar for the first time.
The high-speed track remains one of the ultimate driving challenges, with the snaking ‘S’ Curves, the two commitment-rewarding Degners and the white-knuckle ride of 130R – all highlights in a series of highlights at what is one of F1’s seminal tracks.
When the event timetable is released, it will appear below and cover the full weekend track schedule, including details of all practice and qualifying sessions, support races, and other special events – plus, of course, that crucial Japanese Grand Prix start time.
The F1 session times can also be found in the Japanese Grand Prix Race Hub, where you can choose between local time and your own time zone.
All times listed below are local. Suzuka is UTC+9 during the event. Timetable subject to change.
