Bahrain's technical 5.4km track held it’s first F1 event – and the first Formula 1 event in the Middle East – in 2004. Michael Schumacher was victorious that day, leading home Ferrari team mate Rubens Barrichello.
Fans can expect great racing and decent amounts of overtaking in Bahrain, while the drivers have to contend with varying winds, racing under floodlights, and the difficulty of finding a decent set-up with the wide temperature fluctuations between sessions.
When the event timetable is released, it will appear below and cover the full weekend track schedule, including details of all practice and qualifying sessions, support races, and other special events – plus, of course, that crucial Bahrain Grand Prix start time.
The F1 session times can also be found in the Bahrain Grand Prix Race Hub, where you can choose between local time and your own time zone.
All times listed below are local. Sakhir is UTC+3 during the event. Timetable subject to change.
