As Formula 1 returned to the dazzling streets of Marina Bay ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, there were plenty of topics to catch up on, with F1 TV’s Weekend Warm-up crew ready and raring to explore them all.
The main shift in this remarkably unpredictable season is McLaren taking the lead of the constructors’ standings for the first time in a decade – they landed in Singapore with a 20-point buffer over Red Bull, and a driver pair ready to give their all.

But the Milton Keynes outfit seemed to turn a corner in Baku as they continue to identify their car’s sweeping issues. Sergio Perez, a proven race winner at this circuit who rediscovered some impressive pace last weekend, could definitely be in the mix to help his team reclaim that desired top spot.
Things are hotting up with the other frontrunners too, as both Ferrari and Mercedes come off the back of some strong performances to the only track where a non-Red Bull driver took victory in 2023. Could Carlos Sainz repeat his feat from last season, especially as his team introduces an upgraded front wing?
And of course, it wouldn’t be a worthwhile weekend preview without discussing some of the other reports swirling around the paddock, especially Daniel Ricciardo’s seat stability. As the Australian confirmed that any contract changes have to be made after Singapore, the team discuss if and when rookie Liam Lawson could step into RB.
