WEEKEND WARM-UP: F1 drivers get ready for action at the home of British motorsport
F1 drivers and teams arrived at the Silverstone Circuit on Thursday as preparations gather pace for this weekend’s British Grand Prix – and we have all the latest news from the paddock in the latest Weekend Warm-Up.
Max Verstappen and Red Bull walked through the circuit gates full of confidence, with the Dutchman having won the last five races, and seven from nine for the season, while the Milton Keynes team still have a perfect record.

Mercedes, Aston Martin and Ferrari have all showed promise with recent upgrades, though, while McLaren – who impressed with Lando Norris last time out in Austria – and Alpine are also looking to join the front-running group.
Norris is one of three British drivers on the grid this year, along with Mercedes pair Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, while there's also London-born Thai racer Alex Albon – meaning the ‘Battle of the Brits’ will be an intriguing plot to follow as the weekend develops.
