Go onboard with Mercedes' George Russell for his impressive pole lap at the Australian Grand Prix.
George Russell has become the first polesitter of 2026 at the Australian Grand Prix, the Mercedes driver setting the pace in Qualifying at Albert Park Circuit.
After looking impressive throughout Q1 and Q2, Russell continued that form into Q3 by pumping in a time of 1m 18.518s, securing pole ahead of Silver Arrows team mate Kimi Antonelli with a margin of 0.293s.
The Briton will now be hoping to carry that momentum over into Sunday’s race, where he will be looking for his first win since the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix.
