Charles Leclerc proved to be the fastest man on track on day one of running in Baku, as the Monegasque racer topped the timesheets of the second practice session at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
As the soft tyres came out for the teams’ qualifying simulations, Leclerc produced a time of 1m 43.224s, to lead the Red Bulls of Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen by 0.248s and 0.356s respectively, with Fernando Alonso in the Alpine 0.918s behind in fourth.
