WATCH: Ride onboard for Norris’s incredible pole lap during Dutch Grand Prix qualifying
Lando Norris lit up the timing screens at the end of qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix to superbly claim pole position over Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and McLaren team mate Oscar Piastri.
A sensational final Q3 lap of 1m 09.673s put the Briton a whopping 0.356s clear of home favourite Verstappen, who had briefly taken P1, with Piastri a tenth-and-a-half further back in third.
While weather conditions were dry, Norris’s effort came in what was still a tricky session for drivers to navigate, with significant gusts of wind playing their part around the tight, twisty Zandvoort venue.
