Formula 1 didn't race in Baku in 2020, with the race called off due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The circuit was much missed by the drivers and fans alike, with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix normally throwing up more than its fair share of excitement and drama.
After a late puncture robbed him of victory in 2018, Valtteri Bottas had a point to prove when he took to the streets the following season and he did so in style to win from pole, the first man to do so since his Mercedes predecessor Nico Rosberg back in 2016.
There was plenty of action behind him as well, with Daniel Ricciardo getting in a tangle with Daniil Kvyat while Kimi Raikkonen had a storming race after starting from the pit lane.
