F1 heads back to Saudi Arabia and the Jeddah Corniche Circuit this weekend, with last year’s race setting a high benchmark thanks to the thrilling lead battle between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.
It was Verstappen’s Red Bull team mate, Sergio Perez, who led the early stages of the race from pole position, only for the Mexican to pit just before a Safety Car – triggered by Nicholas Latifi’s crash – and the order at the front to change.

Ferrari driver Leclerc led the way from Verstappen when the action resumed, but it did not take long for them to go wheel-to-wheel – something they repeated on several occasions in a thrilling fight to the chequered flag.
While eyes were glued to the scrap at the front, then-Alpine team mates Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon provided further entertainment as the pair got up close and personal with each other in a tense intra-team exchange.
There was also drama involving Perez and Carlos Sainz at the pit exit, and early-season trouble for seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, among plenty of other talking points...
