WATCH: Onboard with Hulkenberg for the lap that got him P3 on the grid for the 70th Anniversary GP
Nico Hulkenberg sealed a stunning P3 in qualifying for the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix behind the Mercedes duo of polesitter Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton at Silverstone on Saturday afternoon.
Just one week after stepping in for Racing Point's Sergio Perez at the British Grand Prix only to suffer the disappointment of not being able to start the race thanks to a technical problem with his RP20, Hulkenberg squeezed every ounce of performance from the car to seal third on the grid for Sunday's race at Silverstone.
The driver who has never stepped on the Formula 1 Grand Prix podium – with 177 starts under his belt – now has a great chance to put an end to his unwanted record when the lights go out tomorrow afternoon.
Hit play on the video above to go onboard for the lap that saw the German driver outqualify every car other than the two Mercedes.
