WATCH: Hamilton matches Schumacher's incredible record of 155 podiums

On March 22nd, 1992, Michael Schumacher stood on a Formula 1 podium for the very first time after he came third in the Mexican Grand Prix for Benetton, behind Williams pair Nigel Mansell and Ricardo Patrese.

A full 20 years later, Schumacher was on the podium for the final time when he was again third, this time at the European Grand Prix in Valencia. That final trip to the rostrum was his 155th podium finish in F1 – an incredible record that many thought would never be matched.

But on Sunday, Lewis Hamilton did just that when he came home in second place at the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix at Silverstone to equal Schuamcher on 155 Formula 1 top three finishes.

Check out the video above to see both drivers' first podium, and their 155th. While a hugely impressive achievement, it may not be the last of Schumacher's records that Hamilton matches this year, as he fights for his seventh World Championship title, and closes in on the German's tally of 91 F1 victories.
