The 2021 season came down to a one-lap fight between title protagonists on the 58th and final tour of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

A crash for Williams driver Nicholas Latifi five laps from the end caused a Safety Car that led to the dramatic finale, with Verstappen pitting under it for new soft tyres, and leaving him one lap to hunt down his championship rival... which he duly did.
