New Haas team mates Bearman and Ocon set for F1 test runs this week as 2025 preparations ramp up

Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon will head to the Jerez circuit in southern Spain this week, with the new Haas team mates taking part in a Testing of Previous Cars session.
F2 race winner Bearman and former Alpine driver Ocon mark an all-new Haas line-up in 2025, replacing Kick Sauber-bound Nico Hulkenberg and the dropped Kevin Magnussen.
As pre-season preparations gather pace, Haas have communicated that they are heading to Jerez – which hosted F1 races in the 1980s and 1990s – for their first-ever TPC run.
Bearman and Ocon will be joined at the test by Toyota GAZOO Racing driver Ritomo Miyata, following on from Haas entering a partnership with the Japanese manufacturer.
Bearman will run first on Wednesday, followed by Miyata. Ocon will then run first on Thursday, again with Miyata wrapping up the day – all three using the VF-23 package.
After finishing at the bottom of the 2023 constructors’ standings, Gene Haas’s eponymous squad opted for a managerial change in early 2024, replacing former team boss Guenther Steiner with Ayao Komatsu.
END OF YEAR REPORT: Haas – Encouraging signs in Komatsu’s first season as team boss
It was an encouraging first year in charge for the experienced engineer, who guided Haas to seventh position – scoring a much-improved 58 points compared with the previous year’s 12.
Following their TPC outing, Haas will get set for F1’s season launch at London’s The O2 on February 18, and then official testing at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 26-28.
