MUST-SEE: Stars of ‘F1’ movie reflect on ‘extraordinary’ experience of filming during race weekends
Director Joseph Kosinski and the cast of Apple Original Films' upcoming F1 movie have been reflecting on the “incredible access” they were given while filming the motion picture during Grand Prix weekends.
Set for release in June 2025, F1 tells the story of veteran racer Sonny Hayes – played by Brad Pitt – who returns to the sport to partner rookie team mate Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) at the fictional APXGP team.
With the action being captured at real-life Formula 1 weekends, Kosinski and the stars of the film discuss their experiences of this in a new behind-the-scenes video, with Lewis Hamilton – who acts as a producer on the movie – also describing the “exhilarating” atmosphere at the track.
