The stars were out in force on Monday night in New York, as F1 drivers, actors and the production team behind F1 The Movie turned out in style for the official premiere.
Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Damson Idris star in the new film, which tells the story of former F1 driver Sonny Hayes (played by Pitt) as he makes a comeback to partner rookie team mate Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) at the fictional APXGP team.
F1 drivers attended their own screening of the film ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix last month, with seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton having been involved in the project as an advisor from the outset and being hailed as “instrumental” by director Joseph Kosinski.
Several of the current grid and team principals will be on the red carpet tonight in New York's Times Square, where they will be joined by film stars and celebrities ahead of the screening.
