Lando Norris on meeting Helmut Marko, friendships with rivals – and much more

Beyond The Grid is back, and on the season-opener of F1’s official podcast we welcome the ever popular Lando Norris. The McLaren driver is one to watch in 2020 after a stellar rookie campaign last term, and he was on terrific form as he sat down with host Tom Clarkson on the final day of pre-season testing in Barcelona.
Amongst the topics they discussed were McLaren’s chances in 2020, his enduring love of gaming, his relationships with other drivers (including team mate Carlos Sainz), social media and how he deals with Twitter trolls, and even his unconventional approach to cleaning the house...
There’s also a great anecdote about Lando’s meeting with Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko, back when the British racer was making waves in Formula Renault, plus his hilarious recollections of karting against ‘cool guy’ George Russell back in the day.
