Charles Leclerc topped the FP1 timesheets ahead of team mate Carlos Sainz as the on-track action got under way in Singapore.
The session brought early hope for the Ferrari pair, with the Red Bull of Max Verstappen – chasing a record-extending 11th victory in a row this weekend – in third.
In a session that saw three yellow flags, courtesy of different monitor lizards sauntering across the track, Leclerc and Sainz caught the eye after their impressive showing in Monza last time out.
Lando Norris, sporting an array of new upgrades on his McLaren, was also looking pacey in fourth place in the standings.
With the drivers playing themselves in during the opening session, all eyes will be on FP2 to come later on today. Click play on the video player above to look back at the FP1 highlights.
