McLaren driver Lando Norris topped the timesheets as pre-season testing for the 2025 campaign began at the Bahrain International Circuit on Wednesday.
Amid chilly conditions – and around unexpected spots of rain – Norris worked his way down to a best time of 1m 30.430s on medium tyres, putting him 0.157s clear of Mercedes’ George Russell.

It was a day of firsts up and down the grid, including Lewis Hamilton’s official track debut for Ferrari and a host of rookie racers getting to grips with the cars they will be piloting in their debut seasons.
