FP2: Piastri leads another McLaren 1-2 at Imola as Hadjar brings out red flags
It was a challenging session for Ferrari on their home soil, as both Charles Leclerc (in sixth) and Lewis Hamilton (back in 11th) encountered brake issues – the Monegasque at one point calling his “horrendous”.
There were no major incidents to report for the majority of the session, until Isack Hadjar spun exiting the first chicane late on, thumped the wall and then beached his car in the gravel while trying to rejoin the track.
