Carlos Sainz set the pace during the second day of 2025 pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit on Thursday as he continues to prepare for his first season as a Williams driver.
With the Grove-based outfit opting to run Sainz in the car during both the morning and afternoon sessions – meaning that Alex Albon will take over on Friday – the Spaniard recorded the day’s highest mileage as well as topping the timesheets with a lap of 1m 29.348s.

Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, was fastest in Thursday’s earlier session and held onto P2 in the final timings, marking a seemingly positive start to the seven-time World Champion’s new chapter with Ferrari.
