Oscar Piastri confidently converted his maiden pole position into victory at the Chinese Grand Prix as McLaren completed a dominant 1-2 performance.
Piastri was relatively unchallenged at the Shanghai International Circuit as he took a first win of the season. His McLaren team mate Lando Norris was in close pursuit for the majority of the 56-lap distance before a lengthening brake pedal caused issues in the closing stages.
George Russell finished on the podium for the second consecutive weekend for Mercedes, while Max Verstappen overcame a lack of pace in his Red Bull in the early phase of the race to finish fourth, besting Ferrari pair Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman scored Haas' first points of the season, finishing seventh and 10th, with Driver of the Day Kimi Antonelli, and Alex Albon separating the pair.
There was drama post-race when Leclerc and Pierre Gasly were disqualified for underweight cars, along with Hamilton due to his car's plank assembly being below the permitted minimum thickness.
