There are now just three races left in the 2020 season and the drivers hit the track for the opening session of the first of those three in Bahrain on Friday.
Lewis Hamilton, who sealed his record equalling seventh world championship title last time out in Turkey, finished first practice quickest of all, ahead of his team mate Valtteri Bottas as Mercedes notched up another practice 1-2.

Racing Point's Sergio Perez was the quickest non-Mercedes runner, followed by Carlos Sainz in the McLaren and AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly. Max Verstappen was sixth quickest, but suffered a spin at the final corner on one of his runs.
