Haas and McLaren shake down their 2022 cars at Barcelona

Haas and McLaren have become the latest teams to shake down their new 2022 challengers, as they took to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to give their VF-22 and MCL36 cars their first ever laps.
Haas opted to use a filming day to run their car for the first time in Spain, with Nikita Mazepin the first to get behind the wheel of the VF-22, which was launched in digital render form on February 4.

Like Haas, McLaren also opted to give their new car – the MCL36, which was launched on February 11 at a live show from their factory in Woking – its first taste of the track in Spain, with Lando Norris behind the wheel.
Both Haas and McLaren will try their cars in more representative conditions when pre-season running begins at the same circuit on February 23 – with Haas due to show off the physical car to the press in the Barcelona pit lane ahead of the start of the action.
