F2: Marti resists late attack from Dunne to win Budapest Sprint Race
Campos Racing driver Josep Maria Marti has taken another F2 victory during the Sprint Race in Budapest.

Josep Maria Marti achieved a third win of the 2025 Formula 2 season, holding off a final lap attack from rival Alexander Dunne to take victory in Budapest.
The Campos Racing driver made a fine start from pole but was forced to hold off his team mate Arvid Lindblad’s attempts to overtake in the first half of the race.
However, Dunne, running in third, made a daring move on Lindblad for P2 at Turn 1 to take the position on Lap 19 of 28. The Rodin Motorsport driver then pushed Marti all the way to the line, as the two went side-by-side through the final sector.
But the Red Bull Junior driver did just enough to hold on the lead, crossing the line to give himself a third Sprint Race victory of the season.
Dunne settled for second, as Jak Crawford made a final lap overtake on Lindblad to take the final spot on the podium for DAMS Lucas Oil.
Lindblad originally finished fourth but a post-race time penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage in battle with Victor Martins dropped him to 10th.
Likewise, Hitech TGR driver Luke Browning was fifth across the line, but a separate incident with Martins on the final lap dropped the Briton out of the top 10 and down to P12.
It meant ART Grand Prix inherited fourth with Martins ahead of Championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli, who wound up in fifth for Invicta Racing, ahead of his MP Motorsport title rival Richard Verschoor in sixth.
Following the post-race penalties, Oliver Goethe and Dino Beganovic were promoted to seventh and eighth places to round out the points scorers.
Fornaroli is set to start on the front row in Sunday’s Feature Race, but from second on the road with his team mate Roman Stanek lining up on pole.
Lights out is set for 10:00 local time on Sunday, but until then, you can read an in-depth report of the FIA Formula 2 Sprint Race from Budapest on the official website here.
