F2: Fornaroli secures second pole of 2025 by 0.014s
Leonardo Fornaroli earned his second pole position of the Formula 2 season for Invicta Racing in Austria.

Leonardo Fornaroli earned his second pole position of the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season for Invicta Racing.
The Italian driver was one of the few drivers to find an improvement on his final attempt, usurping ART Grand Prix’s Victor Martins by just 0.014s with a 1:15.229.
MP Motorsport’s Richard Verschoor rounded out the top three, the Dutchman only 0.024s off the pole time in a tight Qualifying session.
Rounding out the top five was Gabriele Minì for PREMA Racing and Amaury Cordeel. The Rodin Motorsport driver earned P5 and the best Qualifying result of his F2 career.

Fornaroli’s teammate Roman Stanek followed in sixth ahead of Championship leader Alexander Dunne in P7. The Irish driver left it late to register a time good enough for the top 10 having been as low as 18th earlier on in the session following his FP1 appearance for McLaren.
Joshua Duerksen finished up P8 for AIX Racing, while Josep María Martí qualified in P9 for Campos Racing, but the Spaniard was later handed a three-place grid penalty for both the Sprint and Feature Races for impeding another driver.
John Bennett completed the top 10 for Van Amersfoort Racing and is set to start on reverse grid pole in Saturday’s Sprint Race.
