Rafael Camara claimed victory in the Spa-Francorchamps F2 Feature Race having fought his way back into the lead after a mid-race red flag.

Starting on pole position, the Invicta Racing driver lost the lead off the line but regained it on Lap 5 with an overtake on Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak.

After taking his mandatory pit stop, Camara came back out in the net-race lead before a red flag was deployed following a heavy crash for Laurens van Hoepen on the exit of Turn 7.

With Van Hoepen unharmed the race was eventually restarted, with Camara forced to make his way through the traffic against those who had yet to pit.

A Safety Car meant the leading runners headed for the pit lane, allowing Camara to move back into the lead before he claimed his second win of the season by 5.4s from Inthraphuvasak.

Campos Racing’s Nikola Tsolov inherited third place after Alexander Dunne – who crossed the line in second – and team mate Noel Leon were hit with five-second time penalties for exceeding track limits.

Dunne was dropped to fourth for Rodin, ahead of title rival Gabriele Mini with Van Amersfoort Racing’s Rafael Villagomez in sixth.

Leon dropped down to seventh after starting at the back of the grid, followed by Hitech team mates Colton Herta and Ritomo Miyata, as PREMA Racing’s Mari Boya rounded out the top 10.
