A new Strategy Insight broadcast graphic will be launched at the Hungarian Grand Prix, using live race data, predictive analysis and F1’s broadcast expertise to delve into why teams might make a particular strategy call or on-track decision.
The dynamic visual, released by F1 Insights and powered by AWS, is designed to give fans a better idea of how teams make high-pressure choices in real time around factors like tyre performance, pit stop windows, Safety Car risk and rival behaviour.
It will identify and explain the reasoning behind specific moments when strategy might evolve, such as extending a stint or responding to an undercut threat, by combining information from live timing, telemetry and historical race data.
AWS will also provide historic modelling to help compare current race conditions with previous scenarios before working with F1’s broadcast team to distribute the output quickly in a concise broadcast graphic.
