F1 NATION: Norris comes out on top for McLaren while Red Bull struggle on home soil – it’s our Austrian GP review

Lando Norris returned to the top step of the rostrum in Austria, winning his third Grand Prix of the season for McLaren. But he was pushed all the way by team mate Oscar Piastri, with Charles Leclerc joining those two on the podium.

F1 correspondent and F1 TV presenter Lawrence Barretto, and Brazilian journalist Julianne Cerasoli, join Tom Clarkson in the Spielberg paddock to discuss Norris’ victory at the Red Bull Ring – a track the Briton tends to go well at.

How did Norris bounce back from Canada? What did we learn from his epic wheel-to-wheel battle with team mate and title rival Piastri? And is this a ‘turning point’ in their Championship fight?

Meanwhile, Red Bull endured a race to forget with Max Verstappen crashing out on the opening lap and Yuki Tsunoda failing to score.

As if that wasn’t enough, George Russell and Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff reignited rumours that Verstappen could join the team with some interesting comments to the media over the weekend.

But while Red Bull floundered, Ferrari flourished – the Scuderia had their best Sunday of the season with Leclerc finishing P3 and Lewis Hamilton P4.

With three podiums from the last four races, are they heading in the right direction? It certainly seems so, especially in terms of upgrades – their new floor doing the business in Spielberg.

But there were some strategy concerns after Hamilton wanted to potentially try a one-stop strategy and was told no. Will Ferrari be brave enough to make a bold call if their seven-time World Champion driver asks the question?
