HIGHLIGHTS: Watch as Ferrari make their mark in a wet first practice session at Imola
Around a cold and wet Imola track, Charles Leclerc picked up where he left off to set the fastest time in the first practice session of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
In front of the adoring Ferrari fans, Leclerc set a time of 1m 29.402s on the intermediate tyre, the championship leader going 0.877s ahead of team mate Carlos Sainz in P2. Red Bull's Max Verstappen was 1.465s behind Leclerc in P3, with team mate Sergio Perez taking P6.
Haas proved rapid in the wet, Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher respectively setting the fourth- and fifth-fastest times of the session. Meanwhile, Mercedes struggled with George Russell 10th and Lewis Hamilton 18th.
FP1: Leclerc leads Sainz in soaked practice session ahead of qualifying
Lando Norris briefly brought out the red flag after he spun going into the gravel at Turn 12, while Valtteri Bottas beached his car in the same corner on his last lap.
